Home in Place is an enterprising and socially committed not-for-profit organisation that provides social and affordable housing for low to moderate income households.
At Home in Place we believe community housing is about much more than providing accommodation. It’s also about building communities.
Our vision is for a world in which all people have access to safe, affordable and adequate housing and are actively engaged in their communities.
That’s why we’re dedicated to making sure our tenants are empowered to have their voices heard and to participate in the social and economic life of their communities.
In addition to professional tenancy management, Home in Place delivers a range of wraparound services that help sustain tenancies as well as offering innovative tenant engagement initiatives that help foster a sense of social inclusion. We understand that the best outcomes are achieved through an integrated service which understands and respects the people, place and potential of communities. Home in Place delivers housing services in Australia and New Zealand and has completed two community hub projects in Vanuatu.
Home in Place is playing a leading role in promoting, advocating for and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda in Australia and globally.
Within our organisation we are aligning our policies and programs to the objectives of both the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda and we are pursuing ambitious environmental and social justice objectives.
Home in Place co-convened the first NUA Conference in the southern hemisphere in May 2017 with 240 delegates and 11 nations attending. This is a now a standing conference and you can become part of its practitioners network.
